What we’re looking for

We want someone who loves every part and piece of design and has a little bit of practice too. You will have the opportunity to work directly with our lead graphic designer and hone your craft while you work on a variety of projects.

Our ideal candidate is collaborative, takes direction well and is a natural communicator. A strong attention to detail and deadlines are a must!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Brainstorm concepts for multiple design projects
  • Interpret client feedback and assist in design revisions
  • Research design trends for projects
  • Assist in sourcing of licensed creative content
  • Help design client-facing presentations
  • Oversee basic image masking/retouching/editing
  • Keep design projects on schedule and meet deadlines
  • Prepare and organize files for delivery to clients, print vendors

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, comfortable in InDesign and Acrobat
  • Extremely well-organized, resourceful, collaborative, curious, a strong communicator and a self-starter (we don’t believe in hand-holding)
  • Portfolio demonstrating basic design experience (school or professional)
  • Eager to learn new skills and adapt within the culture of W&K
  • Ability to work at our downtown Colorado Springs office around 20 hours per week on a regular schedule, though because it is an unpaid position we can be flexible with outside commitments on a case by case basis.

Note: As part of your internship we’ll need you to bring your own equipment to complete any tasks list in the job description including and most importantly your own laptop.
