Dream Centers is a nonprofit helping vulnerable women and children in need in Colorado Springs. They provide wrap-around care for the whole person, permanently changing lives for the better.
Why Do We Love This Client?
All our work is fun…but there’s something special about our non-profit clients.
The Wolf & Key and Dream Centers teams jive big time because we’re both head-over-heels passionate about our work. It doesn’t get much better than that. They work 25hrs/day to care for vulnerable women and children in need. And that makes us want to work just as hard to help them succeed.
Our relationship is built on trust and good communication. That’s essential, but it didn’t happen overnight. That kind of dynamic only comes with consistency, and W&K and DC have been together a long time.
Here’s the deal: reaching the next generation with the internet needs to be a top priority for today’s non-profits. It’s essential to the future of fundraising.
To that end, we created Dream Makers. It’s a recurring monthly revenue model that shifts Dream Centers from solely relying on large donors to creating and nurturing new smaller donors at scale. It’s a major shift.
It means the Dream Centers team gets to focus more on their mission and less on fundraising. That’s a game-changer. It takes boldness to step outside the norm and be proactive…so let’s go together.
getting specific
The Dream Centers donor base is highly concentrated in churches throughout Colorado Springs.
We served ads to people who visited church buildings by tagging mobile devices that entered the buildings (creepy specific), because getting strategic with marketing dollars is the name of the game.
For your organization, targeting campaigns to specific buildings could make a lot of sense. Maybe it’s potential donors/customers, or maybe it’s potential new team members. You could also serve a special message to anyone who walks in the door of your competitor’s locations.
Website
The Dream Centers website had to tell their story well. It had to make a great pitch for potential donors to turn into real dollars, through the Dream Makers program. It had to look great and function great, on all devices. That’s essential.
Programs video
Sometimes there’s nothing more powerful than sharing the story of your organization, and why you do it.
Keep it brief and visually engaging, and use it to inform and inspire.
